Richard holds MBA and BS degrees from New York University and is Past Vice Chairman of the Baltimore/Washington Chapter of the Young Presidents Organization. He is a frequent speaker and writer on restaurant franchising, a frequent guest lecturer at University of Maryland and Georgetown University, and was a finalist in the Entrepreneur of the Year Award for Maryland in 2003.
